Massive protest over plans for thousands of houses in Hampshire

Hundreds of people have staged a protest against plans to build 5,000 houses near Eastleigh. Campaigners claim it would destroy an area of ancient woodland and cause traffic chaos.

The homes are planned for an area of land between Bishopstoke, Fair Oak and Colden Common. The council says it's the only way to meet housing need for the future.

But local residents say it's the wrong development and in the wrong place. Mary Stanley reports.
