Tonight: Cold overnight with a frost likely in places. Cloud then thickening after midnight, with temperatures recovering a little. It should remain dry, although winds strengthening again by dawn. Minimum temperature -2 deg C (28 deg F).

Tuesday: Windy and cloudy day, with gales likely through the English Channel, and outbreaks of rain possible throughout. A squally and heavy band of rain then moves east after dark. Maximum temperature 12 deg C (54 deg F).

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday: Staying windy Wednesday, with sunny spells and scattered heavy showers. Likely windy again Thursday,with further heavy rain likely. Rather cloudy Friday, with brighter spells but also isolated showers.
