Around 350 volunteers gathered at Southsea in Portsmouth this weekend to help clean the beach.

The cleaning session was the first event of the year for 'Southsea Beachclean'. It was so well attended that the organisers say they ran out of equipment for their helpers to use.

Data from Southsea Beachclean helps the Marine Conservation Society to continue its campaign to reduce the use of single use plastic.
