Murder investigation after man stabbed to death in Didcot

A man has been stabbed to death and two others have been injured following a fight in Didcot.

Police were called to Mendip Heights just before 4am on Thursday following reports of an altercation between a group of men.

Three men were injured and taken to hospital.

One of the men, aged in his 40s, sadly died. His next of kin have been told.

The two other victims aged in their 20s and 30s are in a serious but stable condition in hospital.

Thames Valley Police is treating the death as murder.

This is a tragic incident in which a person has lost their life after being attacked with a knife.

"This murder will shock the local community, but I want to reassure residents that we are carrying out a thorough investigation and we are determined to bring the perpetrators to justice.

"Mendip Heights is currently closed as we carrying out vital forensic examinations at the scene and conduct house to house enquiries in the area. I would like to thank residents for their ongoing cooperation and patience.
