14-year-old boy stabbed in 'shocking' attack at Banbury shop

A 14-year-old boy has been stabbed in a shop in Banbury in Oxfordshire.

The boy told police he was followed by a group of men in a black four-door car to the Mace Convenience Store on Broad Street at around 9.40pm on Saturday.

He was then involved in an argument with the group which led to him being stabbed in his back and shoulder before the men drove off.

The boy was taken to hospital where he is said to be in a stable but serious condition.

Police have described the incident as 'shocking'.

The store is open as normal as the investigation continues.

This is a shocking offence during which a 14-year-old boy has sustained two stab wounds.

“The offenders are described as being a group of Asian men that were all dressed in dark clothing.

“The victim stated that he was followed to the shop by a black four door car, which the offenders then used to make off from the scene. At this stage we do not have the make or model of this vehicle.

“I am appealing to anyone with any information, especially if you saw anything suspicious or a group of men or a black four door car in the vicinity of Broad Street last night.
