Tributes paid to mum-of-two who fell from seventh floor of Hove flats

Tributes have been paid to a woman who died after falling from a block of flats in Hove.

Nicola Redman, a mother-of-two, was described as the life and soul of her family.

The 33-year-old, of Monument View, Brighton, died after falling from the seventh floor of the building in Clarendon Road on Saturday morning.

A 52-year old man, who was known to her, was arrested on suspicion of murder and later released on police bail.

Police were called to Clarendon House at 5.53am on Saturday 18 January, after Nicola was reported to have fallen to the ground from the 7th floor of the flats. She was confirmed dead at the scene.

The death is being investigated by detectives from the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team.

Her family say she will be sadly missed.

"Nicola was the life and soul of the family.

Full of colour and vibrant, a loving mother to two children and a caring sister and auntie.

Life is not going to be the same without her.

Her son added, "She was a joyful, kind-hearted and beautiful mother who will be greatly missed."

The two people were known to each other and this incident has also been notified to the IOPC for their consideration in view of recent police contact with them.
