Piles of rubbish have been strewn across a countryside lane in Hampshire.

It's believed the waste materials were dumped illegally along the rural road in Swanmore.

Local residents are calling for those responsible to come forward and be held accountable for their actions.

The footage was filmed by ClearWaste.com, who want to combat fly tipping by giving councils the location of the rubbish along with details and photographs.

Fly-tipping is the illegal dumping of waste. It's a crime that damages the environment, risks public health and costs taxpayers to clean up.

Fly-tipping includes:

  • dumping waste on land where there is no waste management licence, including public highways

  • giving your waste to someone else to fly-tip

  • leaving rubbish or waste outside household waste recycling centres

Hampshire County Council have issued advice about fly-tipping and you can check to see if your waste provider is licensed here.
