Twenty homes have been evacuated after a large section of cliff collapsed on to a beach in Kent.

People living in Surf Crescent and Third Avenue in Eastchurch on the Isle of Sheppey spent the night away from their homes.Firefighters were called at 10pm last night and decided a number of properties were potentially at risk.

Most of the residents returned to their homes today, but two households have been advised to stay away.

The fire service have told the public not to come to the area, with sections of the beach closed.
