The coastguard is warning people heading to the beach this weekend not to take risks in the water.
The majority of beaches currently aren't being lifeguarded - so the public is advised to leave inflatables at home, be wary of rip tides and look out for each other.
The warning comes as lockdown eases in various parts of the country meaning coastal exercise and visits are allowed.
With the weather set to be scorching here in the South many people will take the opportunity to visit the coast. The coastguard is asking visitors to be cautious.
