Two arrests after rape reported in Canterbury

Two men are being questioned on suspicion of rape, after a woman reported being attacked in the centre of Canterbury.

Officers were called to Church Street St Paul's just after 3am on Sunday morning, amid allegations an assault had taken place earlier in the evening

Following enquiries they arrested two men, aged 28 and 25, on suspicion of rape.

They remain in custody while forensic searches continue. A police cordon is in place.
