Emergency repairs cause severe disruption on Southeastern trains to Charing Cross

Commuters in the South are being warned to make alternative travel plans, or not travel at all, as a severely reduced train service is running from Charing Cross.

The disruption to Southeastern trains is being caused by emergency repairs to a section of track in the New Cross area.

A severely reduced service is running between Dartford and Charing Cross.

Trains between Dover, Ramsgate, Ashford International and Charing Cross are being diverted to and from Victoria.

Services on the Hastings line are also being changed.

The delays to the service come just days after Southeastern was taken over by the government after it failed to declare more than £25 million of taxpayer funding.
