Part-time players celebrate Wembley win

The players and supporters of a small Hampshire football club have been celebrating after winning a Wembley Cup final. On the sport's biggest stage, Sholing FC from Southampton lifted the FA Vase. Chris Maughan was there for us and spoke to keeper Matt Brown and manager Dave Diaper

Sholing to parade FA vase at Saints match

FA vase winners Sholing will be given a hero's welcome at St Mary's today, when they parade their trophy ahead of Saints' Premier League match with Manchester United

A goal in the 71st minute by winger Marvin McLean sealed Sholing's 1-0 victory over West Auckland in the final of the FA Vase.

Just under 3,000 Sholing fans made the trip to Wembley.

The 1-0 victory over West Auckland also won the Wessex League champions £25,000 prize money.

Tomorrow they will also be given a civic reception when they meet Southampton mayor Ivan White at the Civic Centre.
