Man auctions artwork to promote organ donations

A man who lost his wife after she was left waiting for an organ donor is now raising awareness of organ donations in her honour. Luke Yates is auctioning off his paintings to raise funds for those living with Cystic Fibrosis and increase awareness of the need for organ donors.

The family of a teacher who passed away after needing a double lung transplant when a donor couldn't be found are campaigning to raise awareness.

Sam Yates's family were devastated by her death but, rather than be consumed by grief, her husband has turned to art - to try and make a difference.

He's now produced a gallery of work that he is auctioning to raise money for cystic fibrosis charities.

Organ transplant only chance for teen with ear infection

As part of National Transplant week we've been speaking to 18 year old Aiden Husseyin-Sheikh who needed a kidney transplant after contracting E-Coli from a swimming pool.

Three years after picking up an ear infection his kidneys failed and a transplant was his only chance.

Stacey Poole has been listening to his story which highlights organ transplant can affect anyone.
