Emergency services were called after a car hit the wall of a house in Kent and abandoned their vehicle.

The Fiat Punto crashed at Gatehouse Lane, Burgess Hill, at 7.24pm on Sunday and ended up in the lounge.

The driver and passenger of the car made off but then handed themselves into the police station half an hour later.

A 20-year-old Burgess Hill man has been reported for driving a vehicle without due care and attention, driving without insurance and without a driving licence.
