All lanes southbound on the M3 have now re-opened following a major crash between a van and a car.
It happened between J3 for Bagshot and J4 for Camberley at lunchtime.
The two drivers were cut free from their vehicles and both taken to Frimley Park Hospital.
Highways England says drivers are still facing long delays in the area, but the vehicles have now been cleared.
There are major delays on the M3 after a serious crash near Lightwater in Surrey.
The air ambulance is attending the scene following a crash between a blue Ford Tourneo and a silver transit van on the southbound carriageway.
Two people involved are believed to have suffered serious injuries, one man has suffered a suspected broken arm and a one woman has suffered a suspected serious head injury.
All southbound lanes of the motorway are currently closed and the northbound carriageway will be temporarily closed while the air ambulance attends the scene.
The M3 has been closed southbound between J3 and J4 (Bagshot and Camberley) due to a crash between a car and a van.
Drivers are advised to exit the M3 at J3 and take the A322 west following the solid triangle diversion symbol. Continue on the A30 (London Road) south through Camberley, then take the A331 east to re-join the M3 at J4.
