UPDATE: Teenager released on bail after car crashes into crowd

An 18-year-old man arrested in connection with a serious collision in Rochester has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

A total of 15 people have now been confirmed injured, after a car ploughed into a crowd of people on Friday evening.

Police had been called to a disturbance involving a number of vehicles in Sir Thomas Longley Road on the Medway City Industrial Estate.

Whilst the police were there, a car was involved in a collision with several pedestrians.

Kent Police have said today that the four men who were seriously injured and taken to a London hospital all remain in critical but stable conditions.

Kent Police were called to a disturbance involving a number of vehicles in Sir Thomas Longley Road last night.

Whilst the police were there, a car was involved in a collision with several pedestrians.

Four men have been taken to a London hospital with serious injuries, which are not thought to be life threatening.

A further five people have been taken to a local hospital with four treated at the scene.

An 18-year old man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.

We are conducting numerous enquiries into this incident and would like to speak to anyone with information who has not yet spoken to officers. A lot of people were in the area at the time and we believe that some of them may have video or pictures of the collision. I would like to encourage anyone with footage to get in contact with us as it could be vital for our investigation.
