A man is due in court charged with the murder of Hampshire pensioner Delia Hughes. The 85 year old was found in her home in Ocean Village in Southampton a month ago.

The navigator of a racing boat who suffered serious injuries when the boat flipped over, is in a stable condition after surgery. His pilot died in the accident in Weymouth Bay.

And the apple crop is down this year compared to last. The summer's wet weather is thought to be partly to blame.
