The RSPCA is appealing for information after two rabbits were dumped at a popular dog-walking spot in Lancing, West Sussex.
The animal welfare charity says the two rabbits were cruelly abandoned in Mill Road, in torrential weather and freezing cold.
A member of the public saw the rabbits being left in the car park at around 10.15am on the morning of January 12th.
A man and a woman were seen getting out of a silver Mercedes with a box containing the rabbits.
They then released the rabbits from the box and the pair got back in their car and drove away, leaving the animals to fend for themselves.
The rabbits were traumatised by their ordeal and very dirty and wet but luckily they were spotted by kind and vigilant people who helped. They are now being cared for and are recovering from their ordeal.
