First pictures - boy who died in boating accident

These are the first pictures released of 14 year old Charlie Hutton, who died in a boating accident off the Isle of Wight on Friday.

The teenager is thought to have fallen into the water from a rigid hull inflatable near The Needles, and was apparently hit by its propeller.

Another boy was also hurt and taken to St. Mary’s Hospital on the island to receive treatment for an injury, which was serious but not life threatening.

Boy named after propeller death

The identity of a teenage boy who died in a boating accident off the Isle of Wight is being confirmed by Hampshire Constabulary and his next-of-kin.

Charlie Joseph Hutton, 14, from Surrey, was pronounced dead at Southampton General Hospital after falling overboard from a rigid hull inflatable near The Needles on Friday.

The boat was travelling from Mudeford in Dorset to the Isle of Wight when two of the four people on board fell into the water, getting tangled with the propeller.
