Southampton's Queen Elizabeth has arrived in Liverpool this morning to be the centrepiece of a weekend of celebrations to mark the centenary of the world famous Cunard building.
The company were based in the city before moving to Southampton in the 1960's. The building was home to Cunard's design team from where the most famous ships the south has ever seen were developed including Queen Mary, QE2 and the original Queen Elizabeth.
It was where wartime operations were also masterminded with Cunard ships carrying one million troops during WW2.
Later there will be a church service, concert and fireworks with tens of thousands of people expected to attend.
