Video. Part-time soldiers are training to fill a gap - left by Government cuts to the regular Army. ver the next five years the number of full time soldiers will be reduced by 20,000 - while the number of reservists will double.
The Territorial Army rolled into Portsmouth today looking for new recruits. Numbers in the regular army are being cut but the TA is looking for another ten thousand soldiers including chefs, drivers, medics and engineers. This event at Gunwharf Quays is part of a nationwide recruitment campaign.
