Police appeal to identify Waterlooville caller

Police are appealing for help to identify a woman who made a call to police last night reporting an assault.

The woman was dropped off by a white van in Shaftesbury Avenue, Waterlooville in a distressed state around 8.45pm on yesterday.

It's believed the woman was having an argument with a man driving the van.

She's described as:

  • White
  • Slim build
  • In her 20s
  • Long dark hair in a ponytail
  • Wearing wedge trainers, skinny blue jeans and a white t-shirt

She approached two teenage girls walking along the same road and asked them if she could borrow their phone to call the police. The woman had left the area on police arrival.

It is not clear whether the woman got back in the van or ran away on foot.

Anyone with information should call police on 101.
