A poppy wreath for 75 lost lives on HMS Affray

A poignant memorial has taken place to remember 75 people who lost their lives when a submarine sank in 1951. HMS Affray had left Gosport in Hampshire on the way to a training exercise in the English Channel, but she got into trouble off the coast of Alderney in the Channel Islands.

A poppy wreath has been laid in the exact spot where the submarine sank.
