The headlines today:- Rail Boost - The biggest ever upgrade of the rail network in the south has been announced as part of a £38 million investment by Network Rail. The priority will be an additional 100,000 seats on routes to London.

Funding Boost - The Bodleian Library has secured £1.2million to help buy the personal archive of British inventor and photographer William Henry Fox Talbot. It now needs to raise another £1million to acquire the collection.
