An 18-year-old man has been arrested after a fire at student halls in Southampton which led to the evacuation of an accommodation block.
Fire officers were called at 10.30pm on Saturday, 19th January 2013 after a fire started in a student room at Romero Hall in Archers Road.
All residents were evacuated as a precaution and no one was injured. Damage was largely confined to the one room.
Students were returned to their accommodation in the early hours of Sunday, except for those in rooms adjacent to the site of the fire, who have been temporarily re-located.
An 18-year-old man arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing arson with intent to endanger life is being interviewed by police in Southampton. Police are treating it as an isolated incident and say there is no cause for the public to be alarmed.

A 27-year-old from Eastleigh was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile a 23-year-old was taken to hospital with "life-changing' injuries.
