There are major delays on the M25 this morning following a fatal collision.
Surrey Police is appealing for witnesses following the collision on the M25 clockwise near junction 6 at Godstone shortly before 4.30am.
The collision occurred in a section of the motorway where road works are in place.
Reports suggest that a blue Ford Focus had stopped in one of the live lanes with the lights off and that one of the occupants was walking along the hard shoulder.
The collision has then occurred with a white Renault lorry colliding with the stationary Ford Focus and colliding with the pedestrian.
The pedestrian, believed to be a man in his 50s, was pronounced dead shortly after 5am.
A diversion has been put in place but motorists are advised to expect significant delays to their journeys.
