The 10th Black History Month in Brighton has been launched to celebrate diverse communities in the South.
A number of cultural events have been lined up for the coming weeks. Artists and musicians are among those being recognised for their contributions.
The event includes Diwali celebrations (Oct 27) and a Day of the Dead themed festival (Nov 2-9). As well as the Rum n Bass reggae night (Oct 26) and the Black History Month Family Day (Nov 17).
The Brighton & Hove Black History Month happens every year and aims to educate, highlight and celebrate achievements, history and culture of people of African, Caribbean and minority ethnic descent.
We spoke to chairman Ebou Touray.
