Developers have confirmed plans to restore a grade two listed theatre in Sussex that once hosted the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.

It was once known as a jewel in the UK theatre's crown and played host to the Beatles and the Rolling Stones but the Brighton Hippodrome has been left derelict for almost ten years.

Many in the city don't realise it's even there and yet this legendary venue could now be re-developed as an eight screen cinema. But a thousand people have already signed a petition against it. Andy Dickenson reports.
