Southampton celebrates the Commonwealth baton relay

Two years after Olympic fever swept the South - sport has taken centre stage once again as the Queen's baton relay arrived in Southampton ahead of the Commonwealth Games. A host of events have been held across the city with hundreds of children taking part.

The Queen's Baton was carried through the city by six bearers - including Olympic and Commonwealth meadallist Iwan Thomas - as well as coaches and volunteers who've dedicated their lives to sport. Juliette Fletcher reports.
