High streets will see revival as convenience is key

A new report issued by Southampton University has found that our British high streets will undergo a revival as we transform the way we shop.

The research has found 'convenience culture' will bring new business into our towns as people want to shop easily and sometimes that means their nearest shop.

The study claims the rising trend will continue over the next five years - with convenience stores making up one quarter of the entire grocery market by 2019.

The resurgence has especially been seen for artisanal bakers, butchers and tea and coffee merchants.
