Police are making fresh appeals to trace a 33 year old mother who has been missing for more than a week.

Laura El-Hagrasi was reported missing from her home in Cliftonville, Margate, at 7pm on Thursday, 23 April. She may also use the surnames ‘Ahmed’ or ‘Priede’.

Laura originates from Riga in Latvia and the day before she was reported missing was believed to have been heading to Heathrow with her husband and children in order to fly to Egypt. Police enquiries have revealed that the family travelled to Heathrow in a hire car - a silver Peugeot 208, registration AK13 VHT, leaving home at 3.20am on Wednesday 22 April and arriving in the Heathrow area just prior to 10am.

However, Laura never boarded a plane and it remains unclear whether she has attempted to leave the country by other means or is still in England.

‘Her family are very worried about Laura, as her disappearance is completely out of character. We are keeping an open mind as to where she may have gone, but it has now been more than a week since anyone had contact with her and we are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare.’

– DI Richard Vickery, Kent Police

Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen or heard from Laura, or who may have seen the vehicle travelling to Heathrow on 22 April, to contact them on 01634 884010. Alternatively call Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

Laura is described as white, 5ft 4ins tall, medium build, with straight shoulder length brown hair, green eyes and with an eastern European accent.
