E-fit released in taxi driver robbery investigation

An e-fit has been released of a man Kent Police police want to talk to after a robbery near Hythe in the early hours of Tuesday 12th May.

The robbery happened when a car pulled up behind a taxi which was parked on a grass verge on the A20 at at about 3am.

Two men who got out of the car went over to the taxi, pulled the taxi driver out of his vehicle and pushed him onto the bonnet. The taxi driver said one of the men tried to hit him with a baseball bat, then the two men left and got back into their car and drove off. When the taxi driver got home he noticed his wallet was missing.

Kent police are appealing for anyone who recognises the man in the e-fit or who has information in connection with the incident to get in touch with them by telephoning 01843 222289 quoting reference ZY/014136/15.
