School building destroyed by fire

A fire has destroyed a school building on the Isle of Wight. Around forty firefighters have spent the night at the Island Learning Centre - which was Broadlea Primary School. It's thought a minibus caught fire and then spread to the building. Police are still at the scene.

Isle of Wight school building gutted by fire

A fire has destroyed a building at the Island Learning Centre, Manor Road, Lake, formerly Broadlea Primary School.

The blaze happened at around midnight and the fire is now under control.

Today is the last day of term and pupils have been advised not to visit the site today as the Island Learning Centre will be closed.
