Woman assaulted while walking to work

A young woman was sexually assaulted as she walked to work in Bexhill on Sunday, October 25.

The 21-year-old was walking on Amherst Road between 11.20am and 11.25am when she heard steps behind her. The attacker squeezed her bottom and, as she turned around, the person ran away.

The suspect was only seen from behind but is believed to be a man and was wearing a grey tracksuit. He ran towards Belle Hill. This assault was extremely brazen and in broad daylight."

Sussex Police are appealing for anyone with information or who saw what happened to contact them on quoting serial 616 of 25/10.
