Officers in Poole are appealing for the elderly victim of an alleged assault to come forward after a witness reported seeing three teenage boys take hold of her wheelchair, spin her around without her permission and verbally abuse her.

The assault happened around 10.30am on Monday 26 October outside Asda on West Quay Road.

It is believed the same group then carried out an unprovoked attack on an 84-year-old man outside the Market Gallery, Service Road, at around 5.30pm. They kicked him in the leg from behind and hit him with a pole.

Following initial enquiries into the second incident the first incident has now only recently come to light.

I am appealing to the victim of the first incident to come forward to enable me to continue with my investigation into both occurrences as I believe they are both linked."
