The South reacts to Paris attacks

People in the South of England have been reacting to the fatal attacks by gunmen in Paris who killed more than 120 people, injuring at least 200 others. The region's ports and airports have been issuing updates to travellers heading to and from the city - extra security checks are in place at some locations.

The South falls silent for victims of Paris attack

Flags were flown at half mast -and people across the South fell silent at eleven o'clock this morning - a tribute to the victims of theParis attacks - and an overwhelming show of solidarity in the face of terrorism. Richard Slee reports.
