Inquest begins into death of prisoner with mental health problems
An inquest has begun into the death of a prisoner with mental health problems at HMP Winchester.
The jury at Winchester Coroner's Court heard that 24 year-old Sheldon Woodford took his own life in March 2015. He was found hanged in his cell.
Woodford had been sentenced to four years in prison after pleading guilty to robbery.
The inquest was told that he had a history of mental health problems and was considered "at high risk of self-harming".
