Fire crews rescue woman from overturned car outside Oxfordshire school

Fire crews have rescued a woman who was trapped in an overturned car outside Charlton Primary School in Wantage. Officers were called to the scene just after 4pm this afternoon. Teams were mobilised from Wantage and Faringdon Fire Stations, with a Specialist Rescue Vehicle also attending from Didcot. It's believed the vehicle had been in collision with a parked car and had come to rest on its roof. Specialist vehicle stabilising equipment was used to ensure that the car could not move during the rescue, along with high powered hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the side of the car. Officers say the woman's injuries are believed to be minor.
