Cyclist left with serious injuries after crash

A cyclist has been left with serious injuries after a crash in Tonbridge.

It happened between Whistler Road and Higham Lane in Tonbridge, involving a van and a cyclist and it's believed to have happened at approximately 10pm on Tuesday evening.

The van is reported to have left the scene before police arrived and the cyclist was taken to a local hospital with a fractured back and serious leg injury.

It is believed the vehicle involved has sustained damage to a wing mirror and indicator lens.

Officers are particularly keen to speak with anyone who has knowledge of this vehicle, possibly a white Ford Transit. It is believed to have headed away down Puttenden Lane, towards the Plaxtol area, following the incident.
