Police have launched an investigation after a high value violin was stolen on board a train between Barnehurst, in Bexley and Dartford, in Kent.

The incident happened on 1st May at around 6pm.

A man boarded the train at Barnehurst and removed a violin which was in the overhead rack. The man then left the service at Dartford.

The item has since been returned to the owner but police still want to speak to the man in the CCTV image.

I am keen to speak to the man in the CCTV image as I believe he may have information that could help with the investigation. Thankfully the instrument has been reunited with its owner, but I am still keen to speak to the man in the CCTV image."
