Family pay tribute to man who died in A3 collision

The family of a young man who died in a traffic collision on the A3 at Thursley near Guildford in Surrey have paid tribute to him.

Initial reports in the early hours of Saturday 3rd June, said that Surrey Police had been called to the southbound A3 junction near Thursley just after 4am; and that a van had collided with a pedestrian who had been pronounced dead at the scene. The police investigation into the circumstances that led to the accident is ongoing.

Surrey Police have confirmed that the young man who died was 21-year-old Zak Combe from Haslemere. Zak's parents and brother have released the following tribute to him:

“Saturday 3rd June our lives collapsed on hearing a knock on the door from two police officers at 5am to be told that our gorgeous boy Zak had a sudden fatal roadside accident.

“He can never ever be replaced and will never be forgotten, his laughter, his joy of life, smile and love for everyone was touched by so many, more than we could ever have imagined.

“The messages of support and love we have received since our lives stopped has been truly overwhelming. We want to thank everyone for their help, love and prayers, we feel truly blessed and so lucky to have had our beautiful Zak in our lives for a short 21 years, but 21 years we can be truly grateful for. God Bless You Zak, love mummy, dadsta, Haz X X X”
