Murder investigation after Eastleigh stabbing

A murder investigation has been launched after a man was found with life-threatening injuries in Eastleigh last night.

Officers were called to Scott Road around 11.30pm to reports of a man with stab wounds.

Despite the best efforts of Hampshire Police and South Central Ambulance Service the man died on the way to hospital.

A 36-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman, both from Eastleigh, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in custody.

The victim, a white man, has not yet been formally identified.
