The Solent will be filled with boats as far as the eye can see this weekend, with thousands of people arriving for Cowes Week.
The regatta is the largest of its kind in the world and is held every year in August. Up to 8,000 competitors participate every year and are as varied as hobby sailors to Olympic contenders.
The small town of Cowes will be turned into a city of people as 100,000 visitors arrive during the week. The traditional fireworks show rounds off the festivities on Friday.
