Two men, arrested in connection with the death of a man in Folkestone, have been released pending further investigations.
Kent Police was called at 2.24am on Saturday 19 August to a report that a man had been found with serious injuries near the harbour wall.
The victim, a local man aged in his fifties, was pronounced dead at the scene upon arrival of ambulance staff.
Officers carried out enquiries throughout the early hours and at about 5.30am they arrested a 56-year-old man from Folkestone in connection with the incident.
A second local man, aged in his thirties, was then arrested at midday. Both have since been released as enquiries continue.
The victim’s next of kin have been informed.
