A former brigadier recalls dancing with Diana

"Who wouldn't be flattered to sit next to the Princess of Wales at a dinner like that?!"

The words of Andrew Freemantle, who was the brigadier of the 1st Battalion, Royal Hampshire Regiment.

He welcomed Diana in her role as Princess Colonel in Chief of the Royal Hampshire Regiment, which later became the Princess of Wales' Royal Regiment.
