A woman - arrested in connection with the death of a three-year-old girl in Fordingbridge - has been taken to hospital after having a medical episode while in police custody.
Detectives investigating the circumstances surrounding the child's death say they'll resume questioning the 35-year-old at an appropriate time.
Officers had been called to a house in Whitsbury Road shortly before 7pm on 19th October following a report of a concern for welfare. A three-year-old girl was taken to Salisbury District Hospital but was pronounced dead later that evening.
A post-mortem examination of the girl is due to take place tomorrow.
