Cyclist in hospital after crash with skip lorry

Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious collision in Portsmouth which left a man in hospital.

Shortly after 4pm today, officers were called to Northern Parade, at the junction with Hilsea Crescent, following a collision between a skip lorry and a pedal cyclist.

The cyclist, a 47-year-old man from Fareham, suffered life-changing injuries and was taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment where he remains at this time.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision, and are particularly keen to obtain any dash cam footage from vehicles which may have been in the area during and immediately before the incident.
