A 19 year-old man from London has been charged in connection with a serious assault involving a police officer in Portsmouth.
The 56 year-old was stabbed in Stamshaw Park on Thursday afternoon.
He remains in hospital and is said to be in a stable condition.
Michael Enzanga, who's 19 and of no fixed address, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a bladed article in a public place. He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear today before before Portsmouth Magistrates Court.
