'I was amazed' to be nominated for Maundy money
Patricia Peirson, a 90-year-old great-grandmother of five, was one of 87 men and 87 women who received Maundy money from the Queen at a service in Oxford.
She said: "I was amazed to be nominated. I never would have aspired to something like this. I'm very pleased.
"I'm going to save the money and give it to my great-grandchildren."

Oxford Maundy service for first time in nearly 400 years
The Queen has presented the famous red and white purses of Maundy money to 87 women and 87 men at the annual Royal Maundy service.
This year, it was held in Oxford for the first time in almost 400 years.
