Between 100 and 150 people have gathered in Utah in the United States to remember Kelly Boren and her family.
The bodies of Kelly Boren, 32, Joshua “Jaden” Boren, 7, Haley Boren, 5, and Marie King, 55, and Joshua Boren, 34, were found inside their house late Thursday night.
Police believe Josh Boren, who was an officer with the Lindon Police Department and had previously worked for the Utah County Sheriff's Office, shot and killed his family in the upstairs area of their house before turning the gun on himself.
At a candlelit vigil, mourners signed a book, writing down their favorite memories of Kelly, and left photographs of her.
A funeral for Kelly, Haley, and Jaden Boren and Marie King will be held Wednesday.
A US police officer who is believed to have killed his wife, mother-in-law and two children before turning the gun on himself was experiencing marriage problems in the months leading up to the shooting, his boss said.
Officials said they did not find a suicide note at the crime scene.
